A Nod to Origin
Our name, Parallel Coffee, is a nod to the origins of coffee and the journey it takes from farm to cup. Coffee is grown predominantly within the tropical belt between 23.5° North and 23.5° South of the equator. The parallel lines that define the world’s coffee-growing regions. It’s a simple reference to where our coffee begins, and our focus on the flavour it brings with it.
The Story Behind Provenance
Where coffee is grown has a huge influence on how it tastes. Altitude, soil composition, climate, shade and the coffee variety itself all contribute to its character, shaping the flavour profile in the cup. Understanding these differences is at the heart of how we source coffee.

Roasting Philosophy
Our approach to roasting is simple: to showcase the natural character of each coffee. We roast with the coffee’s origin, variety and processing in mind, developing each one to highlight its unique flavour profile. Our coffees typically sit towards the lighter end of the roasting spectrum, allowing the character of the coffee to shine through.

At Parallel, we’re committed to sharing knowledge and helping people get more from their coffee. Our private barista training is fully bespoke, with 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 sessions tailored to your experience, equipment and goals. From espresso and extraction to milk steaming and brewing, we focus on the skills that matter to you, helping you build confidence and get the best from every coffee.
